Trauma Informed Service
Going through very stressful, frightening or distressing events is sometimes called trauma.

Traumatic events can happen at any age and can cause long-lasting effects. Everyone has a different reaction to trauma.
Many people who experience trauma may frequently get their ‘fight and flight’ response triggered, which may result in anxiety, hypervigilance or finding it difficult to focus.
At RIFFITNESS we understand that trauma can impact not just our mental health, but the relationship we have with our bodies.

We recognise the importance of emotional as well as physical safety. We work with people to understand their experiences which may affect their thoughts and feelings about exercise and fitness and agree ways of working which will make them comfortable.
All our work is Trauma Informed and involves working with clients to build:
Safety
Trust
Choice
Collaboration
Empowerment
